About Sarah Kearns
I work for a non-profit organization (Knowledge Futures) whose mission is to make information useful by creating open publishing platforms. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Michigan’s Chemical Biology Program, and, even though I adore the grit and attention of experimentation, I aim to improve research processes particularly around publishing. My interests center around scholarship, sustainability and ecological justice, and design aesthetics. I also live on a homestead with my husband and son where I play around with fermentation and oldtime music.
